A 103-year-old retired policeman was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here in connection with a 2008 murder case.
Awarding the sentence on Friday, the SC/ST court also slapped a fine of Rs 2,000 on Kalimuddin, a former Head Constable.
According to the prosecution, the retired policeman axed to death Babulal belonging to scheduled caste in October 2008 in his native village.
On October 8, 2008, Babulal and his son Murali Samaria was sipping tea at a tea shop in Suket, when Kamaluddin came and axed Babulal to death.
