A pointed iron rod on a gate pierced the knee of a 13-year-old boy Iqrar on Tuesday trigerring a major rescue effort by firemen in Delhi's Sultanpuri.
Iqrar, a resident of Nangloi, was returning home from near the railway track towards Friends Enclave in Sultanpuri, when he found the iron gate closed.
Iqrar tried to jump over the gate and in the process, he lost his balance and the pointed end of the iron rod pierced his knee.
