Oil Rises In Asia On Chinese Data, Mideast Tensions

Oil rose in Asian trade today, underpinned by positive Chinese economic data and tensions in the Middle East over a key oil transit point, analysts said.

New York’s main contract, light sweet crude for February delivery, gained USD 1.64 to USD 100.47, while Brent North Sea crude for February delivery added USD 1.32 to USD 108.70.
