Kanpur police have arrested four Facebook friends of a girl studying B.Com. in connection with the rape and murder of the victim on Saturday.
The heinous act came to light on Saturday in Gandhigram near Chakeri, Kanpur. The 20-year-old girl Anjali alias Nancy was staying with her grandparents. Her grandfather Veer Bali Singh is a retired HAL employee.
Anjali's parents, Surendra Kumar, a businessman and Damayanti, a school principal, live in Hata near Deoria in eastern UP.
