The BSE benchmark Sensex was up by nearly 200 points in early trade today on fresh buying in capital goods, realty, IT, auto and metal stocks on the back of strong US economic data.
High volatility is expected on the bourses this week as traders roll over positions in the futures & options (F&O) segment from the near-month December, 2011, series to January, 2012, series. Near-month December, 2011, F&O contracts will expire on Thursday.
