Mumbai, Nov 26: After being stalled for months, the shooting for director Madhur Bhandarkar’s much-awaited film ‘Heroine’ finally began today.
The film revolves around the life of a once successful film actress Mahi Khanna, whose career is on a decline.
“Today, I start shooting for my next project, Heroine. Am I excited, nervous or ecstatic? Actually, I am very calm because movie making is one thing that comes very naturally to me. My day has begun with a silent prayer for the victims of 26/11,” Bhandarkar wrote on his blog.
Since the inception of the film, Madhur was keen on casting Kareena, who was the original choice for the film, but due to certain issues it did not work out following which Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was finalised.
