Fourteen passengers were killed and 35 injured, eight of them seriously, when the Bangalore-bound Hampi Express apparently overshot a signal and collided with a stationary goods train in Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh early this morning.
The accident took place at 3:15 AM at Penukonda Station, which comes under Bangalore division of South Western Railway.
