The rupee today strengthened by 12 paise to 51.30 against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange market, on the back of euro gains against the American currency overseas.
Dealers said euro’s gains against the US dollar overseas and a higher opening in the equity market supported the rupee.
