Senior Samajwadi Party leader and UP minister Mohammad Azam Khan has accused the BSP of trying to malign the image of the Akhilesh Yadav government ever since it was voted to power.
Reacting to recent incidents of clashes in different parts of the state after the swearing in of Akhilesh, Khan termed it a “conspiracy” hatched by BSP workers to defame the government in the name of law and order.
Khan, who was speaking after visiting families of the victims of various criminal cases that allegedly took place during the Mayawati regime, accused the BSP of patronising the criminals during its tenure of five years.
