At least 20 people were killed when explosives concealed in two cars went off near a church during Easter Sunday services in the northern Nigerian city of Kaduna, an official said.
“Now we have 20 dead from the twin explosions,” said the official on condition of anonymity. He said explosives concealed in “two cars went off just opposite this church.” According to sources, the blasts has caused extensive damage on the main road of Kaduna, a major cultural and economic centre in Nigeria’s north.
There had been warnings of attacks in the region over Easter, BBC said, amid wave of attacks by Nigerian radical Islamist group Boko Haram in different parts of the country.
