The Gurgaon administration on Monday passed an order asking all shopping malls, commercial establishments and pub owners not to have women employees work in their establishments beyond 8 pm, Times of India reported .
This order comes in the wake of a pub woman employee abducted and gangraped by seven youths on Monday night after she left the pub at 2:30 am.
Gurgaon deputy commissioner P C Meena said permission from the labour department would be required for a woman employee to work beyond the stipulated time in these establishments. For staffers permitted to work after 8pm, the employer would have to provide transportation for them to go home, he said.
