Flamengo Beats Emelec 1-0 In Copa Libertadores

Flamengo moved atop Group 2 of the Copa Libertadores after Vagner Love scored a second-half goal in a 1-0 win over a 10-man Emelec on Thursday.

In Argentina, former River Plate striker Leandro Caruso scored three goals, including a 90th-minute equalizer, as host Godoy Cruz drew Atletico Nacional of Colombia 4-4.

Ronaldinho set up Vagner Love's goal in the 49th minute at the Engenhao stadium in Rio, but the two-time FIFA player of the year was jeered by Flamengo fans after another poor performance.

The victory moved Flamengo to the group lead with four points, one more than Paraguay's Olimpia and Emelec. Lanus of Argentina has one point. All teams have played two matches.
