Shabnam Mausi, the first eunuch legislator in the country, will contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections from Kanpur Cantt constituency.
Mausi who had won as an independent candidate from Suhagpur Assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol district in 2000, has filed her nomination as a candidate of Rashtriya Viklang Party here yesterday, poll officials said.
