The Congress will begin its campaign for 2012 Uttarakhand Assembly poll with an election rally at Gauchar in Chamoli district to be addressed by party president Sonia Gandhi on November 9. During her visit to the state, Gandhi will also lay the foundation stone of the Rishikesh-Karanprayag rail project here also on November nine, the state’s formation day.
“Party president Sonia Gandhi is arriving in Gauchar to lay the foundation stone of the Rishikesh rail project,” state Congress chief Yashpal Arya said.
