In a scene reminiscent of Bollywood film Sholay, Dayanand, a Delhi Traffic policeman on Monday climbed up a 200-feet high tower in Ajmeri Gate and threatened to jump if his medical leave was not extended.
From atop the tower, Dayanand alleged that he had been on two months medical leave and was seeking extension of leave, but the officials instead of extending his leave, stopped his salary and began victimizing him. Dayanand is posted in Gandhi Nagar traffic circle.
