A jeweller in Collectorganj here on Saturday caught hold of two women and their male accomplice while trying to filch a gold ring. All three were later handed over to police.
DSP Sameer Saurabh said, the two women had done a similar theft three days ago at the same showroom, and the jeweller had remembered their faces. On Saturday, when the two women came with their male accomplice again, he immediately recognized them but showed no signs of alarm. One of the women had worn the same saree she was wearing the previous time.
