Goswami's Eyes Donated To Sankardev Nethralaya

Jnanpith award winning Assamese literatteur Indira Goswami has donated her eyes with the corneas being extracted.

Goswami had pledged to donate her eyes in 2009 and following her death yesterday, the corneas were extracted by a team of doctors from Sri Sankardev Nethralaya here, its Medical Director Harsha Bhattacharjee said.
