Two miscreants on a motorbike fired at two UP police constables, also on a motorbike, here on Wednesday evening, and fled with the constable's rifle, police said. Constable Krishnapal and constable Amit tried to stop the two youths on the bike, when one of them whipped out his countrymade pistol and fired at both, killing Krishnapal on the spot and critically injuring Amit.
