Batsman Jonathan Trott believes England has the right mix of players and the talent needed to carry its success in test cricket into the one-day game.
“I think our lineup complements itself,” Trott told reporters Wednesday. “We’ve a got a blend of everything, a few guys like to work around and a few like to hit the ball hard.
“We’d set our targets for test match cricket and hopefully we can do it for one-dayers as well.”
England recently blanked India 4-0 in a home test series to claim the top ranking in the format. It also beat India 3-0 in a five-game one-day series and won a solitary Twenty20 game on the tour.
