London, Sep 5: Former prime minister. Middle East envoy. Now Tony Blair is also revealed as godfather to one of Rupert Murdoch's daughters.
A person close to Blair confirmed Monday that the former British leader was the godfather of Grace Murdoch, now 9, when she and her younger sister Chloe were baptized at the River Jordan last year.
British media reported that the October issue of Vogue, which carries an interview with Murdoch's wife Wendi Deng, disclosed Blair's role in the ceremony. The report of Blair's involvement in the baptism was not attributed to her.
