A ganja and bhang addict posing as a tantrik was arrested by Mathura police on Monday, after his three children complained that their father used to extract blood from their bodies with the help of a blade and/or syringe to offer to the goddess, police said.
DSP Kayam Singh said, the tantrik Netra Pal was married to a woman Maya, who left him two years ago, when she found that her husband had first cut off her finger to offer the goddess and then planned to 'sacrifice' her.
On Sunday, as Netrapal tried to extract blood from his son Sanju, the three children managed to run to a neighbouring village Gaidalpur and told people about this. The villagers beat up Netrapal and handed him over to the police.
