Delhi Police constable Tanveer Singh had returned to his home in Najafgarh on Wednesday night for sleep, when assailants barged in and shot him dead.
Tanveer Singh got five bullets in his body and died on way to the hospital, says V Reghunathan, DCP West.
One person, Pradeep was arrested on Thursday morning by the police.
Tanveer Singh, a resident of Rewari, Haryana, has been staying in a rented room in Baprola village of Najafgarh. He returned from his duty at 10 pm on Wednesday, but at around 11:15 pm, there were sounds of firing inside his room.
