Manuel “Nolito” Agudo scored a brace to lead Benfica to a 4-1 win over Academica on Sunday, while defending Portuguese league champion FC Porto was held to a 0-0 draw at Feirense.
Bruno Cesar fired in Javier Saviola’s pass to put Benfica ahead in the 26th.
Academica striker Danilo equalized in the 40th, but Nolito grabbed the lead back for the hosts a minute later.
Pablo Aimar extended the lead with a header in the 82nd and assisted Nolito for the Spanish forward to cap the win in injury time.
