New Delh, Aug 29: Sania Mirza is the only Indian player who gained a place in the latest WTA rankings to move upto 63, as almost all top players maintained their respective slots in the latest lists, issued today.
Sania, who will open her US Open campaign against former doubles partner Shahar Peer, moved from 64 to 63 in the singles but remained 11th in the doubles list.
In the WTA doubles race to year-end championship, she and Russian Elena Vesnina remained in third place.
In the ATP singles chart, there was no change in Somdev's ranking (64) and in the doubles chart, Mahesh Bhupathi (6), Leander Paes (8) and Rohan Bopanna (9) were also static.
