Twelve-year-old Ankit is presently fighting for his life in a burns unit of a Varanasi hospital.
It wa a Sunday nightmare for Ankit as he slept on the roof of his house in Hanumanpur, Mughalsarai, after having his dinner.
Early on Monday morning, it was found that Ankit had suffered serious burns while being kept inside a neighbour's house on charge of theft.
The neighbour Dinesh Vishwakarma alias Pappu alleged that Ankit tried to commit theft in his house after midnight and was caught red-handed. He was then confined inside a room and neighbours were told that he would be handed over to his mother.
