In an example of medieval justice, a panchayat here on Monday issued a diktat asking the sister of a youth to be married to the brother of a girl who had eloped with the youth.
All this happened in the presence of police.
Chander, a resident of Babri police station complained that his daughter has eloped with one Vinod, resident of Sonepat after a love affair. He also complained to the local panchayat.
