An elderly couple was held hostage by two armed assailants who robbed cash and jewellery worth lakhs on Tuesday afternoon in north-west Delhi’s Tri Nagar area.
The police said the victims, identified as Panna Lal Gupta and his wife, were held hostage at their Tri Nagar residence on Tuesday afternoon by two assailants who entered the residence minutes after the two domestic helps, who work with the family, left after finishing their work.
According to Panna Lal assailants beat him and his wife while they were held hostage and after the loot they changed their cloths before fleeing away.
