A violent clash took place in the slums of Jahangirpuri, Delhi on Sunday over a petty case of Rs 80 theft leading to the death of a youth Mohit, and injuries to five others.
Mohit and another youth Bunty had gone to Haridwar for the monsoon Kawad yatra, where Bunty had lost Rs 80 from his pocket. Mohit is the son of Gyan Das, a local BJP office-bearer.
On their return, Bunty told his family about the theft. Enraged family members of Bunty armed with sword and knives attacked Mohit's family, killing him on the spot and seriously injuring five others.
