Woman Raped, Set On Fire In UP

A 35-year-old woman was raped and later set on fire by three youths in Nidhauli area of the district, the third case of rape in Uttar Pradesh in the last two days.

The woman, whose husband works in Delhi, was sleeping in her home, when three persons belonging to an influential family, Sunil Yadav, Suman Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav entered her house.
According to the woman’s dying declaration given to the local Tehsildar, she was raped by Sunil Yadav, and after the act, kerosene was poured and her body set afire, said Brij Lal, Special DGP in Lucknow. SP Etah and DIG Aligarh visited the spot and a post mortem is being conducted by a panel of doctors.
