India To Bat First Against Windies In 1st Test

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss Monday and chose to bat first at Sabina Park in the first of three cricket tests against West Indies.

West Indies made three changes to the team that lost the final test against Pakistan in St. Kitts last May in a 1-1 drawn series.

Adrian Barath, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Fidel Edwards are included at the expense of Kraigg Brathwaite, Marlon Samuels, Kemar Roach.

Roach and Samuels were in the West Indies’ squad of 13.

India has included three debutants in their team: Seamer Praveen Kumar and batsmen Abhinav Mukund and Virat Kohli.
