The partition of the subcontinent killed writers like Majaz, Manto and Miraji, and all of them passed away within a span of a few years after partition, said Kamran Asdar Ali , who teaches anthropology at the University of Texas.
At a seminar on Manto's death anniversary (Jan 18) titled 'Progressives and Perverts' here on Wednesday, Ali primarily focused on Sadat Hasan Manto’s writings, reports Dawn .
