Ahmedabad, Sep 24: Taking a dig at the Congress-led UPA government over the issue of corruption, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said these days people wonder who is going to be the next leader of the ruling alliance to face arrest on graft charges.
"People's mindset has become such that while switching on the TV sets or opening newspapers they ask 'who has gone to jail today or who is the next to go to jail'," he said without referring to the 2G scam or the Manmohan Singh government, which has been hit by a number of corruption-related scandals.
"It is like the turn of 'A' then 'B' and then 'C',. A has gone, B has gone now it is the turn of C," Modi said, without taking the name of Union home minister P Chidambaram, who is facing the heat over the 2G spectrum scam.
