Nanhe, a local resident, is absconding after firing bullet at his 14-year-old niece on Wednesday, after the latter tried to prevent him from molesting her, police said.
The bullet was lodged in the left elbow of the girl, who is fighting for life in a local hospital.
Police is on the lookout of the culprit.
