Surat police crime branch staff has arrested eight persons on charge of duping gullible people by offering gold at cheaper prices.
The modus operandi of the gang was to first offer real gold at cheaper price to the people, and after gaining their confidence they used to call them to a particular
spot, where the gang used to rob them, said S M Sumra, sub-inspector, Surat police crime branch.
