Stuttgart says Guinea midfielder Mamadou Bah broke his hand in his country’s 1-0 win over Ethiopia in their African Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
Stuttgart said Wednesday that Bah needs an operation after the defensive midfielder broke the metacarpal bone in his left hand.
Team doctor Raymond Best is to perform the surgery on Friday, ruling Bah out of action for about 10 days.
The 23-year-old Bah has been beset by injury since arriving at Stuttgart from French club Racing Strasbourg on the final day of the summer transfer window last year.
