Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat’s brother Vikram Lamba was today arrested after he accidentally fired a bullet while cleaning his licensed firearm injuring a 25-year-old man in the suburban Versova, police said.
Lamba, who was booked under the IPC sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), was later granted bail on surety of Rs 5000 by the Versova police station, they said.
According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday morning when Lamba was cleaning his pistol in his seventh floor office in Bhaktani tower.
Rahul Bhatt, son of film-maker Mahesh Bhatt, was also present in the office when the bullet was accidentally fired.
