CPI(M) today termed the police action at the protest site of Baba Ramdev as "deplorable and shortsighted", but found fault with the yoga guru for making the issue of black money "farcical" by entering into a secret agreement with government.
The party Politburo said there was no law and order issue involved here and the police action was "unwarranted".
"The midnight police action against Shri Ramdev and his supporters on the instructions of the Central Government is both deplorable and shortsighted. Scores of men and women have been injured, some of them seriously," it said in a statement.
However, the party found it objectionable the manner in which Ramdev?s demands were drafted and the way in which he has conducted his interactions with the Government.
