Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today met Baba Ramdev and termed as “very unfortunate and shameful” the police crackdown against yoga guru and his supporters.
Nishank flew in Patanjali Yogpeeth, one of the largest Yoga institutes in India, and held a closed door meeting with Baba Ramdev for nearly 90 minutes here and assured yoga guru of full security and support from the state government and BJP.
After the meeting, Nishank told reporters that the police crackdown on the people peacefully demonstrating in support of their demands against corruption and black money in New Delhi is “very unfortunate and shameful “ and June 4 has been added as a black chapter in the history of Indian democracy.
Lending his full support to Baba, Nishank said it seems that those opposing the agitation of Baba has black money in their foreign bank accounts and centre is patronising such people.
